MCN 1000 Competition

MCN 1000 – encouraging bikers to bring a new rider to motorcycling and win great prizes

Get On has joined forces with Britain’s biggest motorcycle weekly paper, MCN to bring a thousand new riders to motorcycling. So if you’re already riding you can do your bit to spread the joys of life on two wheels and win some great prizes too.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Get your non-riding friend or relative to sign up for a Free Ride with Get On by entering their details on the left. Remind them:

•    it’s completely free. We even lend them the helmet and all the safety kit.
•    they do it with a qualified and friendly instructor at a time that suits them
•    it’s safely away from public roads.
With over 160 Get On training partners around the country, there’s bound to be one nearby.

2. Now assuming your friend or relative have caught the bike bug – and most do! – get them to take their CBT. They can ask the instructor about this at the end of their Free Ride.

3. Once they’ve passed send a photograph of them holding their CBT certificate to alison.silcox@motorcyclenews.com. Make sure the date on the certificate is visible. Include in the e-mail the full name, address and telephone number of both you and the newly CBT-qualified rider, and the date, time and place they took their Free Ride including their Get On username. Without these details, you won’t be eligible for the prizes.

4. Check the post and keep checking MCN for updates. Once MCN have reached their goal of 1000 new bikers, they’ll announce the details of an event for all participants. From those who attend, they’ll randomly choose one ambassador and new rider to win a £10,000 and £5,000 voucher respectively. Another 20 participants will get a £500 voucher each.

The vouchers can be spent with any motorcycle manufacturer backing Get On, including the Japanese big four Honda, Yamaha Suzuki and Kawasaki plus  Aprilia, BMW, Harley-Davidson, PGO, Generic, MV Agusta, Piaggio Vespa and many more. Or they can be spent on motorcycle kit from Arai, BKS, Abus, Frank Thomas, Motrax, Oxford, Rev’It!, Weise and dozens of other quality brands.

Riders, more than anybody, know how many good reasons there are to ride. Now you can even convince your mate, nephew, girlfriend, hairdresser, whoever, that they’re doing you a favour by trying it out – for nothing! Because they could be helping you win £10,000 to spend on biking goodies. How can they refuse? Book them in now for their Free Ride with Get On.
