at this time of year, students across the country have just received their A-level results, and are either celebrating a glorious victory over the exam board or commiserating a missed a grade or two.

If you’re one of the lucky ones who has walked it and got their first choice uni, or if you have just missed it and managed to get a clearing place then it is definitely time for celebration; getting through college is no mean feat and you should give yourself a pat on the back.

If, however, you’re not one of the lucky ones then there is still a silver lining, and Get On is here to help you find that lining.

Step 1: Listen to a classic rock anthem

Okay, so college isn’t necessarily school, but it’s an extension of school, and it’s most definitely over now. With this in mind, regardless of whether you smashed it out of the ball park or didn’t quite get a home run, this song will make you feel awesome:

Step 2: Arrange a wicked night out

Night Out Get On

All throughout life others will tell you that it’s the people around you that make a difference, not the things you end up doing. Likewise, those people who got you through college no matter the result are your comrades, your brothers and sisters and without each other you wouldn’t have made it here. Get your mobile out and ring around those people who made it special, then get yourselves down the pub and celebrate your friendships.

Step 3: Chill with your family

In the background of all this sits the family unit, and they deserve recognition for supporting you this far in your life! Even if you’re not leaving home now, it’s a great time to thank them and have some quality time before the craziness of job hunting, uni or whatever else you have planned starts. Grab a film with them, have an end of summer barbeque with some chargrilled home cooked goodness, heck make a salad and dress it with vinaigrette, go crazy.

Step 4: Book a free ride and a CBT

If you haven’t already done this, it’s pretty much an essential requirement for future life. With sky rocketing petrol, rail and motoring costs the last vestibule of sanity lies with the 2-wheeled transportation option. Are you a scooter or a 125? Book a free ride and find out now!
