Summer Cruising on 2 wheels
Now that the sun has got its hat on (just!), it’s time to get back on that motorcycle and see the UK from 2 wheels. From Cornwall to Ullapool in Scotland, you’ll definitely have somewhere amazing to go this summer.
If you fancy a truly lovely ride, then get away to Cornwall. This route has some of the most majestic views you will ever see in England. From cliff faces to beach views, this is one worth seeing. The route stretches from The North Cliffs to St Ives. A must see along this route is Hells Mouth, a sheer breathtaking cliff drop that will leave you feeling exhilarated.
A little further away (about 700 miles from London), Scotland has a lot to offer in the way of views. And if you’re feeling adventurous, a trip to the highlands for some fantastic scenery will leave you smiling from ear to ear. There are castles, white sandy beaches and wild coastal territory. Ride to Donan Eilian castle and be amazed at the cultural heritage of this wonderful part of the UK. Visit the Isle of Sky, travel to Westdurness, and ride from Dumfries all the way to New Galway. This is a highly recommended route.
Also in the Scottish highlands is the drive from Fort Augustus to Ullapool, on which you will see more lakes than you’ve ever seen in one go before. The views are simply stunning on this 300 mile loop, and they are so much better seen on 2-wheels!
Cwmcarn forest in Caerphilly County, Wales has is a wonderful spot to cruise as well. Seven miles of incredible scenery surrounded by forest and greenery will not disappoint you. With camping facilities available for campers, Caerphilly castle, Llancaiach Fawr mansion and horse riding, as well as a variety of pubs in the area, the down time is almost as good at the riding!
What we want to know is where is your favourite cruising route? Do you have any big trips planned this summer?
