advice

Hi all

i am new to bikes, i have and can drive a car and want to learn to ride a bike. i havnt booked a CBT or anything yet as i first off want to buy a bike. i want a sporty looking bike with the body kit close to the front wheel rather than having the gap. i also want a low maintenance bike.

a friend of mine has suggested the Yamaha yzr or the Honda cbr

also as im brand new to bikes it would be nice to know whats good to learn on and look for in a bike.

thanks

Hi Jay

My advice - book a free ride through Get-On and see if biking's for you. If it is, book a CBT.

Then look to buy a bike. If you're new to biking getting a bike first might be a mistake.

Low maintenance? well all bikes have about the same service intervals so I would say solidly reliable is what you need - you can't go wrong looking at Japanese and the CBR or YZF are both very pretty, if a bit dear.

All the best
