Jon Douglas

Hi I'm Jon and I would be very happy to answer questions relating to qualifications, training courses, apprenticeships or careers advice in the motorcycle (or any automotive) industry.

I spent 24 years in the service and repair sector of our industry, albeit on light vehicle repairs, not 2 wheelers I’m afraid. I am now a national manager for the Institute of the Motor Industry who are the Sector Skills Council for Retail Automotive.

We have responsibility to support anyone in the retail automotive industry looking to upskill by finding them a solution to their skills need and also offering careers advice to those who wish to enter or progress in their career within the Automotive industry.

I am a keen biker myself so this part of our industry is something of a passion for me. I would be keen to hear from either individuals or organisations that are looking for support.
