The Theory Test

The Theory Test will gauge your knowledge and understanding of riding theory, essential to improving your practical riding skills.

The multiple choice test for motorcycle riders has 50 questions, each with a list of potential answers. You need to choose the correct answer (or answers). You will have 57 minutes to complete this test, as you would in a real test. To pass you need to answer at least 43 questions correctly (score 83%). If you don't complete the test in time your score will be calculated from the questions you did answer.

 

How the test works

 

Click on 'Take Theory Test' to be taken to the test page as shown below. Click the answer you think is right. If you want to change your answer, first deselect your original answer and then click on another answer. Please note that some questions have more than one correct answer. Once you have selected an answer you can then proceed to the next question. If you are unsure you can 'flag' the question and continue. You can come back to any flagged questions when you have answered the other questions.

Once you have completed the test you will be told whether you have passed or failed and be able to review the questions you got wrong.

This test is FREE and is available for you to take as many times as you wish. It is only a representation of the official test and the scores gained here do not count towards passing your test.
