- By Public Transport: Bus No. 5 (Huntington) or 21/21a (Vicars Cross) bus from Chester. Dismount at Bike Factory Shop & continue for approx 150yds. Bill Smith Motors on right . Main entrance-go up Blue Spiral Staircase to the right, we are in the offices above*. Train station Exit Chester Station, go along City Road keeping to left. At end of road follow left and continue for approx 1 mile, Then see above*.
- By Car: Leave the A55 at the A51 Chester/Nantwich turnoff. Follow the A51 to Chester until you come to Bill Smith Motors Ltd where we are located. Follow road round to the right for the dealership car park. Enter through the main doors you'll see a Blue Spiral Staircase to the right, come up those and we're in the offices above.

Hello,
I've been thinking of doing my CBT so when I heard about Get On offering a free 1 hour taster session I signed up immediately. Searching the Get On website showed, rather disappointingly, that my nearest centre was over 60 miles away, even though I know the local training centre my brother-in-law used is just down the road! These things are sent to try us, so I signed up anyway.
The day of the session arrived cold and foggy and undaunted I set off nice and early to compensate. fast forward an hour and I'm sat in a unmoving traffic jam on the road, watching the bikers cruise down the outside , their progress unhindered. As I said before these things are sent to try us! Time moved on and with a sigh I had to phone Arrow riding school to explain I wasn't going to make their session, what a wasted journey. When I got through, I was pleasantly suprised to hear they had another session I could join following on an hour later. Brilliant!
Upon arriving at Arrow riding in Chester I was kitted out and briefed on what to expect, while the previous session were finishing. It was cold and foggy so I took all the clothing they had to offer. My instructor arrived back, at which point I discovered I was the only person on this session and they we're going to go out again just for me on a 1:1 session. Great stuff, many thanks to the boys Arrow riding for that!
The instructor wheeled a shiny ybr 125 off his trailer and ran me through the controls, I'd attempted riding a bike once, 20 yrs ago, so i needed to pay attention. Briefing over it was clutch control to walk the bike around, followed by a couple of 1st gear stop start excercises. I started to enjoy riding around alot and as I got the hang of it out out came the traffic cones, time for a bit of slalom. This seemed very hard and I must admit my new found confidence was starting to ebb away. Luckily it being a 1:1 session the instructor talked me through it, we then laughed as I repeatedly messed it up, but we got there in the end. What a fantastic hour and I have to thank the boys at Arrow Riding for a great taster session.
