Kawasaki announce arrival of limited World Championship Edition ZX10R
If racing is your thing then this could be just the bike you were looking for. With Tom Sykes becoming the World Superbike Champion in 2013 Kawasaki have honored this amazing feat with a World Champion Edition of their iconic Ninja ZX-10R.
With 9 race wins and 8 pole positions along the way, it seemed only fitting to create something to truly celebrate and remember this historic season and so the Ninja ZX-10R “World Champion Edition” was born. Limited to just 25 examples in total the bikes will be liveried using a 2013 KRT graphics kit, fitted with a gorgeous Leo Vinci EVO 2 exhaust plus an official Kawasaki tank pad. Additionally, each of the bikes will also be supplied with an extra air-box cover signed by the man himself, Tom Sykes, and an official, personally signed, letter of authentication.
As a final finishing touch, special plaques have been commissioned for the machines with a lazer-etched Championship emblem and a declaration that they are part of the Limited Edition run. Having re-gained the WSBK Championship for Kawasaki after a break of two decades, Sykes was naturally keen to celebrate the fact commenting, “Last year was a dream come true and it’s great to be a part of Kawasaki’s racing heritage. Now we have created these limited edition bikes, twenty five people can get hold of a little piece of Ninja history for themselves.”
Craig Watson of Kawasaki added, “This is Kawasaki’s first World Superbike Championship win for twenty years. It’s only fitting that, in his home country, there’s a limited edition bike in honor of Tom’s achievement”.
Bikes are available to order from Kawasaki dealers now and will be supplied on a first come first served basis. All machines will be non-ABS and and priced at just £550 over the normal retail price making them a bargain piece of history at just £12,749.
