The UK is the 4th worst European country for congestion, with drivers wasting an average of 32 hours a year in traffic, according to a report by traffic information provider INRIX.

The top three British cities for time spent in traffic:

London - 66 hours

Manchester - 45 hours

Liverpool - 39 hours

Some food for thought - these figures show a decrease in time spent in congestion compared to 2010, and act as an indicator of the slowing economy. As things improve and more people use roads to work and shop, we can expect traffic levels to increase - so now is the ideal time to get on a bike and get ahead of the crowd.

If you are a motorist and have had enough of wasting time and money to sit in traffic, why not try riding to work on a motorbike? With Get On you can have a free motorbike ride to give it a go and see if it is for you.
