Ride free, ride safe in Birmingham

Whether you’re already riding, or thinking about trying a motorcycle for the first time, you need to be in Birmingham on Sunday 18th July.

At Birmingham City Football Club the On Two Wheels urban bike show will offer entertainment, advice and practical experience for everyone. In the Try-Before-You-Buy Moped zone, run by Wheels motorcycle training, you can find out whether a small scooter or motorcycle could be the cheap, hassle-free transport you need. Experienced riders can get expert tips from West Midlands BikeSafe, by going on an observed ride-out and getting a one-to-one assessment.

If you just want to watch, stunt riders Craig Jones and Chris Doney will be wowing the crowds with the kind of stunts you definitely should NOT be trying at home! And you can wander round the stands checking out the latest motorbike kit, picking up information on insurance, security and further training. There’s even something for under-5s, as you can win a Kiddimoto wooden bike!

And of course the Get On mobile Roadshow Unit will be there, so non-riders (or lapsed riders) can book a free one-hour trial ride and see if riding is as much fun as they’ve heard (and it really is! - ed).

Gates to the St. Andrews Stadium open at 10 am and close at 5pm. Check out www.ontwowheelsbikeshow.co.uk  for details. And remember, if you can’t get to Birmingham on Sunday you can still book your one-hour free ride. Just register your details on the Get On website and a local training centre will be in touch soon.
