Get On gives a free motorcycle experience to anyone aged 14 or over. Bikes, protective clothing and top class instruction are provided over a 60 minute session, during when riders are introduced to the gears, brakes and slow speed handling.

People in St Helens, Merseyside will get the chance to try a motorcycle or scooter for free when Get On comes to the city on Saturday and Sunday 6th and 7th May.

This is the second time the Get On road show has taken its free ride experience to St Helens, which was over subscribed last year.

Riders will be introduced to the gears, brakes and slow speed handling during a 60 minute session.  All protective clothing is provided; riders just need to wear full length jeans and sturdy shoes and all instruction is by professional trainers, who are all very patient.

Get On is suitable for complete beginners or people thinking of returning to biking after a break.

It will take place at the city’s multi-purpose test centre in   Navigation Road, which is off Pocket Nook Street in St Helens, Merseyside, WA9 1NS.

Get On is open to anyone aged 14 or over and under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.

Riders will also be given advice and information about where to go for further training and which licence would suit their needs.  They will also be advised as to where they can find their nearest high quality ‘accredited’ training school.
