Try a motorcycle for free in Wolverhampton on Saturday 4th June ahead of Ride to Work Week.
Ride to Work Week (20th – 26th June) highlights the benefits of commuting via motorcycle or scooter and people living in Wolverhampton can try one for free courtesy of motorcycle industry’s free ‘try out’ programme – Get On.
Anyone over the age of 15 can take advantage of a free 30 minute session with a professional instructor, which can be booked beforehand via the website www.geton.co.uk, or on the day, subject to availability. If you prefer to speak to a real person, you can also book by phone 02476 408040 between 9am and 6pm Monday to Friday, or 9am to 5pm on Saturday.
The free ride sessions will take place at the Wolverhampton Motorcycle and Car Test Centre (WV4 6JX) between 9am and 5pm on Saturday June 4th. Protective clothing is all provided.
The Wolverhampton/Birmingham road network is now the 5th most congested in the UK, up from 6th place last year. Commuters in this area now spend 31 extra minutes a day in traffic at peak times. By filtering and using bus lanes, riders are able to move through congested traffic in the time it normally takes in free flowing traffic. This mode of commuter transport is also more likely to put a smile on your face, with riders reporting higher levels of satisfaction than people who use other forms of transport for their journey to and from work.
